How does voice cloning work?
Vocaly sends a 30-second audio sample to ElevenLabs, which builds a high-fidelity voice model from it. You can then type any text and hear it spoken back in that voice. The cloning step typically takes a few seconds.
What audio formats can I import?
You can import .mp3, .wav, .m4a, .mp4 and .mov files from your Photo Library, Voice Memos, or the Files app. If you import a video, Vocaly extracts the audio track automatically.
How long should my sample be?
The minimum is 30 seconds. For best results, use a clear, well-lit recording with a single speaker and minimal background noise.
Which languages are supported?
Vocaly supports 29 languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Czech, Slovak, Romanian, Bulgarian, Hungarian, Greek, Russian, Ukrainian, Croatian, Turkish, Arabic, Hindi, Tamil, Indonesian, Malay, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. The app auto-detects your system language and tells the AI which language to speak.
Are my voice recordings stored on your servers?
No. Voice recordings and generated audio are not stored on Sidane LLC servers. Recordings are sent over HTTPS to ElevenLabs for cloning and speech generation, and the resulting audio is saved only on your device. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How do credits work?
- Cloning a voice consumes 5 credits.
- Generating one audio file consumes 1 credit.
- Subscription credits are used before one-time credits.
What's included in Pro Weekly and Pro Annual?
- Pro Weekly — 50 credits every week, with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers.
- Pro Annual — 200 credits every month, billed once a year.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > Vocaly on your iPhone and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Uninstalling the App does not cancel the subscription.
How do I restore my purchases?
On the in-app subscription page, scroll to the bottom and tap Restore Purchases. The App will fetch entitlements from your Apple ID and restore your subscription or remaining credits.
How do I get a refund?
All purchases (subscriptions and one-time packs) are processed by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and select the relevant purchase.
The generated audio sounds robotic or distorted
Result quality depends on the original sample. For best results:
- Record in a quiet room with minimal echo and no background noise.
- Speak naturally, varying your intonation.
- Stay close to the microphone and avoid clipping.
- Use at least 30 seconds of continuous speech.
Can I clone someone else's voice?
Only with their explicit, informed consent. Cloning another person's voice without permission is prohibited by our Terms of Service and may also be illegal in your country. By cloning a voice you confirm that you have all the necessary rights to do so.
Why was my generation refunded?
If the AI provider returns an error (for example, due to a network issue or a content policy violation), the credit consumed for that generation is automatically refunded to your balance.
How do I delete a voice or a generation?
Long-press a voice tile (or swipe left on a generation row in the History tab) and tap Delete. Deleting a voice also removes the associated voice model from our AI provider on your behalf.
